What is included in the van?
The van is equipped with a full set of cutlery for 4 people (more can be supplied if required) Cups, plates, bowls for 4 people Saucepan, frying pan and Kettle Tea towel, washing liquid and sponge Kitchen roll, bin bags, food bags Hand sanitiser and antibacterial wipes Dust pan and brush Clean water container 2 x loo roll 2 x camping chairs, camping table and torch If hired during the winter months, 2 spare blankets will be supplied Fire extinguisher, fire blanket, breakdown kit, smoke and Co2 detectors First aid kit Spare bulbs and fuse kit Levelling chocks ​We will ask you to sign a form before you leave and when you arrive back to confirm the contents of the van. You will need to pack your own personal belongings (clothes, toiletries, bedding and towels).
Are child car seats provided?
No. You will need to bring your own child car seats that can be used with a three point belt. The van does not have iso fix.
What is the van like inside?
The van can comfortably sleep 4 people- the back seat folds in to a double bed and there is a double bed in the roof once it has been lifted up. If you're travelling with children, bring along your child car seats - there are 4 x 3 point seat belts and 2 lap belts. Please note, there are no iso fix options. Once you've reached your destination, you can pop the roof up so you're able to stand inside easily. There is a fridge freezer, sink with refillable water bottle, twin burner hob and heater to keep you warm at night. The van is also fitted with LED lights and usb charging points - don't forget your charging leads!  We will ensure you have a full tour of the van before you go, so you leave feeling completely happy and confident.
How far can I take the van?
We recommend a max of 100 miles a day to allow you to enjoy your journey in the van. The milage is limited to 120 miles a day.
How many camper vans do you have?
Currently we just have one, however we are working hard to be able to offer more vans in the future!
How much is it to rent the camper van?
You can rent the van either Friday to Monday, or Monday to Friday at a cost of £450 in the summer months (1st April - 30th Septmeber) or £400 in the winter months (1st October - 30th March). If you would like to rent the camper van for a week, the collection and drop off days are still on a Monday or a Friday and cost £750 in the summer months and £700 in the winter months.
What payment options are available to hire the camper van?
You can pay via bank transfer or card. The insurance deposit can be paid by credit card.
Do we have to pay anything up front?
Once you have booked your holiday with us, we will request a £150 deposit to be paid within 7 days of booking. You can pay this via bank transaction. You will receive a booking confirmation email with all the details on. The rest can be paid on the day of collection.
Do we have to pay insurance excess?
Yes. The insurance excess is £800 and can be paid by credit card. The £800 will be refunded back to you as soon as you return back from your holiday assuming we haven't needed to claim.
What documents do we need in order to rent the camper van?
You need to be 25 or over to rent the van and have no more than 3 points on your driving licence. You will need your driving licence and two other forms with proof of address. You will also need a dvla check code which you will have to provide us for insurance purposes. You can send this to us before the day of collection if you prefer.
What happens on the day of collection?
When you come to collect the van, we will give you a detailed inspection inside and outside to show you where everything is. We will also carry out a quick inventory for you to sign to confirm the contents of the van. We will then take copies of your driving licence and ID, and ask you to read and sign the Ts&Cs. We will take the remaining payment and insurance cover deposit. Before you leave we will give you the insurance details and a form with contact details on should you need to contact us when you're away.
What happens on the day we drop the van back off?
When you drop the van back off at the end of your holiday, we will give the van a quick inspection to re confirm the contents of the van and to check for any damage. We will alsovrefund you the £800 insurance deposit.
What do we need to bring on the day of collection?
You will need to bring your DVLA check code, driving licence for each person driving the van and two forms of I.D for each person driving the van, which must be valid within 90 days of hire.
What time can the van be collected and dropped back off?
You can collect the van anytime from 3pm onwards, unless an earlier time has been agreed upon booking. You will need to drop the van back off with us before 12pm on the day of your return. Bookings can be made on Mondays and Fridays.
What happens if we break down?
In the unlikely event that a problem occurs, the van has full break down cover included.
Can we try driving the van before we drive off on our own?
Yes! Once you arrive to collect the van, you're more than welcome to take it for a little test drive first to get used to the steering and gears etc.
