OUR STORY
Hey there, we’re so glad you dropped by. We’re a small family from Glossop with a big love for open roads, classic vans and slow mornings with a mug of tea by the moorland. Back in 2023, Amy decided to rescue a 1972 Volkswagen campervan that needed a lot of love and husband Chris, a VW-savvy mechanic, was happy to take on the challenge. Weekends turned into months of careful restoration and with Amy’s eye for interior design and Chris’s mechanical talents, Lotus now feels like something truly special.
WHO WE ARE
We’re not a big booking agency, we’re everyday people just as excited about campervan life as you are. We run New Moon Campers because we love the way it brings people together: families on holiday, couples taking a weekend off-grid, friends watching a sunset at a hilltop campsite, or newlyweds slipping away for a quiet moment after the ceremony.
We aim to make your experience smooth, enjoyable, and stress-free sharing tips, local knowledge and a warm welcome when you pick up Lotus.

How long has New Moon Campers been running?
We launched in 2025 after lovingly restoring our campervan we bought back in 2023, bringing together our family’s love for the outdoors and classic vans.
Where are you based?
We’re based in Glossop, the perfect jumping-off point for exploring the Peak District, Cheshire and beyond.
Can Lotus be used for weddings and special events?
Yes — she’s available for wedding hire and adds a beautiful, vintage touch to your celebration. Details available on our wedding page soon.
Do we need experience driving older vehicles?
Not at all. When you collect Lotus, we’ll walk you through how everything works so you feel comfortable before you depart.
