Who We Are

Hi there and welcome to the very first post on our blog! We’re a family from Glossop with a big love for open roads, classic vans and slow mornings with a mug of tea by the moorland. That simple joy of getting outside, seeing new places and making memories together is what led us here.

Our story began back in 2023 when Amy found a 1972 Volkswagen campervan in need of some love and attention. With her eye for interior design and her husband Chris’s skills as a VW-savvy mechanic, weekends that started with a little tinkering quickly turned into months of restoration. Bit by bit, “Lotus”, as the van is now called, became something truly special.

Why We Started New Moon Campers

We’re not a big booking agency, we’re everyday people who are just as excited about campervan life as you are. There’s something magical about how a vintage van brings people together:

• families on their first holiday together

• couples escaping for a peaceful weekend off-grid

• friends watching the sunset from a hilltop campsite

• even newlyweds stealing away for a quiet moment after the ceremony

That warm feeling of connection and freedom is exactly what we want you to have when you rent from us.
